FEEDBACK ANALYSIS 2020-2021


Feedback Analysis- Faculty

Feedback related to the curriculum was obtained from all the faculty of the Aided and Self- Finance stream. Around three-fourths of the faculty replied in positive and were satisfied with the curricula being relevant to the local, national, regional and global importance,and the curriculum being balanced with regard to the theoretical and practical knowledge. More than seventy percentage of the faculty members have vouched that the curriculum content renders fundamental knowledge of the subject and content is interlinked to each other. Around eighty percent of the faculty agreed that the reference books given are sufficient and that the text books prescribed covered all the units and that they suit the syllabus as well.

Around sixty five percent of the faculty members replied that the contents of the course are in conformity with the learning outcomes and they are application/skill oriented, society /job oriented and that the curricula focus on employability / Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Professional Ethics, Gender, Human Value, Environment and Sustainability. More than fifty percentage of the faculty agreed that the contents of the curriculum are in tune with the UGCNET/CSIR examinations and Creates awareness on the current trends of the subject and the curriculum has the potential in developing the habit of self-learning among the students and also offers field projects, internships and student projects.

Feedback Analysis – Students

Around eighty percent of the students have replied that the Syllabus prescribed for the course suits the objective of the study and there is scope for getting interested in the subject, and they have also agreed that the institution revises the syllabi regularly. Most of the students feel that the depth of the course content provided was enough and also encourage self-learning. They also agreed that practical examples are given and demonstrated, and thus they felt the overall knowledge they gained was academically stimulating. Majority of the students felt that the institution provided courses pertaining to local/national/global needs and also focus on employability, entrepreneurship and skill development as they progress in their chosen career after graduation. The students were elated as the curriculum provides provision for field trips, internships and industrial visits which help in the all-round development of the students. Most of the students also understood the importance of value-added courses and agreed that the courses provided by the college were sufficient.

Feedback Analysis- Alumni

The alumni of our institution also enthusiastically have replied positively to most of the questions, as they found the quality of the curriculum prescribed during their term to be satisfactory. They also liked the course content delivery and most of them agreed that the course curriculum fulfilled their expectations. As most of the alumni have landed up in respectable jobs, they gave credit to the institution for bridging the gap between the industry and academia, and for taking up jobs relevant to their degrees, having acquired many employability skills during their term period. Majority of the alumni replied in affirmative to the development and academic initiatives taken by the college such as Innovative Teaching and learning methodologies, Seminars, Workshops, Projects, Study Tours, etc, and that they were motivated by these academic endeavours to pursue post-graduation in their relevant disciplines.

Feedback Analysis- Employer’s/Industrialists

The employers and the industrialists agreed that the curriculum is relevant for employability and is effective in developing innovative thinking. A majority have replied that the syllabus is effective in developing skill oriented human resources, aids the development of entrepreneurs as the current syllabus is need based and bridges the gap between industry and academia. Most of them agreed that the Courses offered provide solution to issues relevant to Gender, Environment and Sustainability as the curriculum is instrumental in addressing the local problems as well.
