Career Guidance & Centre for Competitive Examinations
Students who are directed to Centre for Competitive examinations (established in 2016) are provided motivation and orientation programs about various Government employment and Competitive examinations. Students are then segregated based on their interest and coaching classes are organized in streams like UPSC, TNPSC, Police/Armed force, Accounting/ CMA, NET etc. It also regularly conducts model tests to improve the students. It also updates the students about examination schedules for the academic year and encourage them to enroll for the examinations.
Career Guidance cell (established in 2019) primarily focuses on organizing guest lectures to create awareness about career opportunities. It also focuses on conducting surveys, to understand the career aspirations of the students. Based on aspiration of the students, theyare counselled and directed to various Centre/Cell like Centre for Competitive examination, Placement etc. It also assists in organizing motivation sessions in various disciplines, based on the requirement from disciplines of the Institution.
Students who are directed to placement cell are provided motivation and orientation programs about various career opportunities in private sector. As per Vision “Transforming career by instilling 21 st Century skills and Inspiring lifelong learning in every student”, placement cell takes efforts tomotivate, train and guide them in the path they aspire. It establishes contact with the companies to understand their requirements and selects companies which matches students’ aspirations. Placement cell then arranges internship for the students and help them getting placed. It also invites companies to organize interview forthe students, who were not part of internship, to exhibit their skills and get placed.
Centre for Competitive examinations, Placement and Career Guidance cell has started working together since 2019 onwards.
