The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of the college was established in 2023. It plays a crucial role in positioning the institution advantageously by facilitating the protection of intellectual property, promoting innovation, and supporting the development of products based on research and creative endeavors. The major challenge for the organization in the coming years is to create a culture of IPR awareness, ensuring that creative work and innovations are protected. Its activities are focused on faculty, students, research scholars, support staff, and innovators. The IPR Cell is committed to encouraging the creativity and innovation occurring within the college, leading to the generation of intellectual property. Additionally, the cell extends its services to both in-house scholars and the local community.
Objectives
- To encourage faculty members research scholars and students to involve patentable works.
- To conduct workshops, seminars and training course on IPR.
- To facilitate proper understanding of a wide range of legal concepts with regard to copy rights trademarks patents, geographical indication and industrial design and models.
- To promote technology advancements for quality of life and environment protection.
- To commercialize the intellectual property owned by the institution and share the revenue among the stake holders.
