Programme Officers
There will be one program officer who is in charge of one unit.
Only those who belong to the teaching faculty will be considered for an appointment as a program officer.
The program officer will be responsible for the organization and implementation of the NSS unit under the supervision and direction of the principal of the college or head of the institution.
The programme officer will be responsible for carrying out the instructions issued by the program coordinator of the university, the NSS regional center, and the state liaison officer for the implementation of NSS activities as per the NSS manual, program guidelines, and administrative and policy directives.
There shall not be any clash between the instructions issued by the NSS Regional Centre, State Liaison Officer, or Programme Coordinator, as these instructions are to be based on the NSS Manual/Program Guidelines or administrative or policy directives issued by the Government of India.
