Profile
Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Madurai is offering a Programme of Diploma in Fashion Technology and Apparel Designing sanctioned by National Skill Development Corporation under University Grants Commission From the academic year 2018-2019 . The curriculum is designed according to the Skill Sector Council norms. This programme consists of 4 levels. One of the salient features of the programme skill council is designing of training programmes based on industry demands of different segments and to ensure that all successful trainees are certified through accredited assessment agency. The scheme was introduced for producing skilled workforce personnel in the Apparel industries.
Essentials of good designing and Fashion are easy to learn and Practice. The course is a boon to the rural students as it has a strong and successful placement records as well as self-employment opportunities. This course provides an entire gamut of skills required in apparel industry and Fashion industry.
The Students are provided with extensive practical experience through live projects that integrate theory and practice. During the programme we provide Internships to give hands on experience in the industry. This gives critical advantage over peer and puts the student’s career on a fast track.

PSO1:To practice as a Self Employed Tailor.
PSO2:To serve as Assistant to Fashion Designer in Boutique.
PSO3:To use their capacity as Hand Embroider.
PSO4: To work in Apparel Making Firms as Sewing Machine Operator.

Fashion Show Gallery
SASSY – 2019 Fashion Show
Department of Fashion Technology and Apparel Designing organized a Portfolio presentation on 15.04.19 on the title “Fashion Fest” in our college premises. In this session students express to give Fantasy Presentation. Students are very talent and the thinking ability with creativity of this show. 27 students are participated, each and every students gave fashion walk by her wearing their own work garments.
SASSY – 2020 Fashion Show
Department of Fashion Technology and Apparel Designing organized a Portfolio presentation on 16.03.2020 on the title “Sassy 2020” in our college premises. Students exhibit their talents and creativity in the show. 38 students participated, each and every student gave fashion walk by wearing their own worked garments.
