Prof.N.Elango, Honorary Head, Department of English SFW, MannarThirumalaiNaicker College inaugurated theFilm Club of the department on 28/06/2019. The Hollywood movie, Oliver (2005), an Academy award winning movie adaptation of Charles Dickens’s novel of the same title was screened to the students of the Department of English SFW with an introduction on “How to Read a Film” by Prof. N. Elango.
The department organized a literary fest on 22 Feb 2020 entitled “Tamil Aesthetics” and the programme was governed by Dr.M.Elangovan, Associate Professor, Thiagarajar College (Autonomous), Madurai.
