Programme Officers
One program officer will be in charge of one unit only.
Only those belonging to the teaching faculty will be considered for appointment as programofficers.
The program officer will be responsible for the organization and implementation of the NSSunit under the supervision and direction of the principal of the college or head of theinstitution.
The Programme Officer will be responsible for carrying out the instructions issued by theProgramme Coordinator of the University, the NSS Regional Centre, and the State LiaisonOfficer for the implementation of NSS activities as per the NSS Manual, program guidelines,and administrative and policy directives.
There shall not be any clash between the instructions issued by the NSS Regional Centre,State Liaison Officer, or Programme Coordinator, as these instructions are to be based onNSS Manual/Program Guidelines or administrative or policy directives issued by theGovernment of India.
