• 36 research papers were published by our faculties in Scopus indexed journals for the past five years.
• HOD with 33 Years of teaching experience.
• Dr. N. Venkatesh Bharathi completed a project under the scheme of Institutional Sponsored Faculty Research Project for the Academic Year 2022-2023.
• Dr. S. Ramaswamy, Associate Professor & Head, PG Department of Physics, delivered a guest lecture on “Basics of Crystallography” in Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur on 22.02.2023.
• Dr. S. Christopher Jeyaseelan delivered a guest lecture on “Crack JAM Physics” in Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi on 04.02.2023.
• Dr. N. Venkatesh Bharathi and Dr. S. Christopher Jeyaseelan served as Editor in the International Conference proceedings on “Recent Advancement in Material Science and its Applications (ICRAMSA ’23)” on 11^th & 12^th January 2023.
• Mr. N. Venkatesh Bharathi has successfully completed his Ph.D., degree in Physics on 28^th July 2022.
• Head of the Department Dr. S. Ramaswamy, had been awarded “நன்னெறி பேராசிரியர் விருது” by Madurai Illakiya Mandram and Sri Arunnachala Educational Trust, Madurai in the year 2021.
• Mrs. S. Nagadeepa, Assistant Professor of PG Physics completed Institutional sponsored student research project entitled “Development and Characterization of proton battery using biomaterial (onion peel)”.
• Dr. D. Ruby Josephine, Assistant professor of PG Physics had conducted online quiz competition entitled ”SPACE EXPLORA- 2020” on account of annular solar eclipse on 21^st June 2020.
• Dr. P. P. Kannan, Assistant Professor of PG Physics had conducted online Physics Quiz competition during June 2^nd to 12^th 2020.
• Dr. D. Ruby Josephine, Assistant Professor of PG Physics completed Institutional sponsored student research project entitled “Free Energy Generation”.
• Our department student (Mr. S. Jowfur Sadiq Raja) participated in “Inter collegiate Physics Meet – PHYXPLOSION 2020” held at Lady Doak College, Madurai and won the first prize in paper presentation.
• Ph.D., public viva voce was successfully defended by P.P. Kannan on 31.01.2020 with the title “Dielectric studies, spectrometric studies and theoretical calculations on the molecular interactions of binary polar-polar liquid mixtures”.
• One of our faculty members Dr. P.P. Kannan presented his research paper and won the award of “Best Poster Presentation” in National Seminar on Advanced Materials - 2020 held at Jamal Mohammed College, Tiruchirappalli.
• Dr. M. Alagar, Former HOD had received “Excellence Award” in recognition of significant contribution to Research/Academic Development/Social Welfare in the academic year 2019 – 2020 by Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College Committee (Educational Agency), Sivakasi.
• Dr. M. Alagar convened a two days (10^th and 11^th October 2019) Science exhibition “EQUIP 2019” of all science Departments of our college to Madurai district higher secondary school students.
• Ph.D., public viva voce was successfully defended by D. Ruby Josephine on 22.08.2019 with the title “Studies on Synthesis, Characterization and applications of Pristine Graphene oxide and Functionalized monolayer Graphene oxide nanosheets”
