Profile

The department of Chemistry under the self-financed stream was established in 2017. The department offers a Undergraduate program B.Sc(Chemistry). The department has well – qualified, dedicated, co-operative and experienced faculties with various relevant specifications to compete with the current Industry Standards. The department has sufficient Classrooms, well equipped laboratories and library with all required books.

The department sincerely strive to develop proactive Students with an intent to learn to excel. The department also offers several attractive campus interviews and make them to get placements.The students can execute a project in collaboration with an industry .

The systematic and planned curricula from first year to the third year motivates and encourages the students for pursuing higher studies in various disciplines of Chemistry such as Physical, Inorganic, Organic, Analytical, Drug and Biochemistry. This curriculum also enable student to shoulder the responsibility as Chemist in chemical industry.

  • To construct the department as a thriving center of excellence in teaching, curriculum development, cutting-edge research and popularizing Chemistry.
  • To contribute to industry and address problems of societal importance.
  • To gain the theoretical as well as practical knowledge of handling chemicals.
  • To expand the knowledge available opportunities related to chemistry in the government services through public service commission particularly in the field of health inspector, food safety, pharmacist etc.
  • To afford a broad foundation in chemistry that stresses scientific reasoning and analytical problem solving with a molecular perspective.
  • To achieve the skills required to succeed in graduate school, professional school and the chemical industry like cement industries, agro product, Paint industries, Rubber industries, Petrochemical industries, Food processing industries, Fertilizer industries etc.
  • To understand the concept of chemistry to inter relate and interact with other subject like mathematics, physics, biological science etc.
