Profile


The department of commerce self-finance was established in the year 1986 with the introduction of B.Com programme. In the year 2007 and 2016 additional sections were introduced. It also offers certificate courses like Tally, Photoshop and DTP to enhance the employability of the students.

To inculcate our motto, the department has versatile personalities as faculty members. The department teaches the syllabus through learner - centered teaching methods such as case studies, roll play, field visits and project work. Besides the regular programme, the department offers value added and co-curricular programs. There are remedial classes organized for deserving students.

The concept of mentorship between the students and the teachers provides a life line for immense growth for the students. With the help of the faculty members and students body (ICON Association) has helped the department achieve many laurels.

The commerce department has its loyal alumni found in all spheres of profession. They are the great inspirations to the present students. Our alumni prove themselves to the precious asset to the department through their support in all our endeavors. Our department has MoU’S with different industries for providing on the job training for UG students.
