Department of Electronics and Communication
Profile
The Department of Electronics and Communication at MTNC College was established in the year 1998, and it was later converted into the Department of Electronics and Communication during the academic year 2004-2005. This transformation occurred in response to the evolving nature of technology, which led to the combination of Electronics Engineering and Computer, Information, and Communication Technologies disciplines.
The department is equipped with a state-of-the-art laboratory and a team of highly qualified, experienced faculty members who are specialized in Electronics and Communication. The introduction of the CBCS pattern from the academic year 2008-2009 was instrumental in enhancing the efficiency of students across various sectors.
The curriculum of the B.Sc. Electronics and Communication course is designed with a strong emphasis on fundamental principles, preparing students for a career in the rapidly changing field of electronics and communication technologies. The hands-on approach of the course ensures that students gain practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge, making them highly valuable to potential employers in the industry.
Extracurricular activities play a significant role in the holistic development of students at the department. For instance, the ELCOM club was inaugurated on September 11, 2015, and serves as a platform for students to engage in various activities beyond the classroom, including mini-projects and extracurricular events, under the guidance of faculty members.
In addition to these initiatives, the department also conducts regular workshops, Industry Competition Model (ICM), quiz programs, and seminars to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and organizational skills among students. These activities have been organized by faculty members and students alike, further emphasizing the collaborative environment at the college.
Lastly, the department's commitment extends to providing competitive technical skills both practically and theoretically to students in a cost-effective manner, aligning with the vision of the Self Financing Wing of the college.
