About IQAC:

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College was established on 8th October 2010. The institution found its name in the map of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2006. The NAAC Peer team visited our College and awarded ‘B+’ grade. Based on the recommendations and suggestions of the peer team, the College initiated several academic endeavors, strengthened infrastructure and enriched the research ambience.

IQAC is an integral part of the institution’s system and always work towards achieving the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. It has developed a system which ensures the objectives of the IQAC as envisioned by NAAC. Over the years, it has made significant contributions to achieve academic excellence. It has further organized a database on the basis of the seven criteria as per the guidance by the NAAC, namely Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning and Evaluation, Research, Innovations and Extension, Infrastructure and Learning Resources, Student Support and Progression, Governance, Leadership and Management, Institutional Values and Best Practices.

IQAC became an important body of our college after NAAC accreditation. It started regulating academic and administrative activities of the Institution to sustain the quality. It works to enhance and integrate various activities of the college and ensures the adoption and dissemination of best practices. It conducts periodical meetings for all departments to get necessary data to be forwarded to NAAC. The concerted efforts of the management and the staff paid high dividends when the college was reaccredited with ‘A’ Grade by the NAAC in the second and third cycles
