Events Organized in the Academic year 2019-2020:

  • A Bridge Course was conducted between 19.6.2019 and 21.6.2019 for the First Year Students to know the level of understanding.
  • Organized Guest Lecture in “Born To Win” on 24.06.2019 by Mr.O.K.Karthick, Founder of Paradise Foundation, Madurai.
  • Inauguration of Wizardz Club, held on 5th July, 2019 during 11.50 to 1.30 Moorthy Naidu Andalammal Seminar Hall. Dr. P.Nirmal Kumar, CEO M/S Plus Point, Group of Companies delivered a speech on “Life Skills ” and motivated the students to develop skills on the recent developments.
  • On behalf of Google CEO SundarPitchai’s Birthday “Google Day” was celebrated by Department of Computer Science 12th July 2019 (Friday) at Moorthy Naidu Andalammal Seminar Hall
  • On 25th July 2019 our department have organized Fresher’s Day for the first year B.Sc CS, B.Sc(IT) & BCA students.
  • Women Faculty Members from Computer Science Department delivered a speech to Female students about Dress code, Cleanliness and Sanitation on 29.07.2019
  • On 29th&30th August 2019,Department of Computer science and Blue pearl computer education jointly organized Two days workshop on PHP with MySQL. 180 students from III B.Sc (CS), III B.Sc (IT), III BCA participated in this workshop.
  • A WORKSHOP was organized by the department of computer science (SF), Mannar Thirumalai Naicker college in association with SIPPO ( Small Industries Product Promote Organisation) jointly organized Entrepreneur Awareness Camp for final year students in science stream on 3rd to 5th September at Moorthy Naidu Andalammal Hall.
  • The Science Fair was conducted in the college on 10.10.2019 and 11.10.2019. Various Projects under different stream’s were exhibited. School Students from in and around Madurai visited the Fair
  • Thasildhar Office Work was done, As per the requisition from Thasildhar Office, Thiruparankundram, the Requisition Forms received from Public on Chief Ministers releif camp were Uploaded appropriately in the System by our Students from Computer Science Departement in the month of September 2019 and October 2019.
  • Software Training Spoken Tutorial Programme, IIT Mumbai, has organized by our department for our students and faculty members.
  • On 04th January 2020, Department of Computer science of our college and Winways Pvt.Ltd jointly organized one day Guest Lecture on Introduction to LAMP
  • Guest Lecture was conducted for the first year B.Sc(CS), B.Sc(IT) and BCA students on 07.01.2020 (Tuesday) at Moorthy Naidu Andalammal Hall in the topic of “Recent Trends in Computing Technology and Networking”
  • A Guest Lecture “WIN YOUR WEAKNESS” was organized for final years in Major RTN Sundararajan Hall on 9th Jan, 2020. Nearly 180 students from III B.Sc (CS),B.Sc (IT), BCA, I & II M.SC(CS) participated in this guest lecture
  • The Pongal festival was celebrated in our college on 14.01.2020 along with the students of computer science department.
  • An International Workshop was conducted on 23rd January 2020 by Computer Science Department on the topic “Algorithmic Thinking and Problem Solving” , Resource person Professor Dr.S.R. Subramanya from National University, San Diego, USA
  • Our students created awareness and introduced the importance of computer and networking through power point presentation as a part of village adoption program at the Government high school, Sivarakottai of Thirumangalam education district on 04.02.2020.
  • AWARENESS PROGRAM AT OUR CAMPUS ON 11-02-2020 SAFER INTERNET DAY, Our department students campaigned all the classes of both regular and self-finance in creating awareness about how to use the internet safely. Using safe internet is our social Responsibility a student strength of 15 were participated in this awareness program our students received a warm welcome by the students of both regular and self-finance classrooms
  • A State Level Workshop was conducted on 13th February 2020 by Computer Science Department, Professor Dr.A.Balaji Ganesh Dean(Research and Development), Professor in CSE, Velammal Engineering College, Chennai delivered the keynote address on the topic “Entrepreneurship Opportunities in IoT”. This workshop focused on various sensors and Actuators, Wireless interfaces, Practical interface of sensor with Rasberry pi. Nearly 250 participants from in and around Madurai Colleges participated and got benefited from the workshop
  • Department of Computer Science (SF) Mannar Tirumalai Naicker College organized the program to commemorate the “World day of Social Justice” on 20.02.2020. Ms.Selvagomathi, Deputy Director, SOCO Trust.delivered the key note address
  • An Intercollegiate Meet – IMPERIA 2K20 was conducted on 6.3.2020 A total of 32 Teams from 25 Colleges (365 Students)Participated in the various Technical and Nontechnical events held and the overall Trophy was claimed by VHNSN college,Viruthunagar. The Meet was inaugurated by Mr.J.Kaniraja , Associate Manager, Accenture Solutions Pvt Ltd.,Chennai.The Valedictory was completed with the Guest of Honour our Department Alumni Mr.D.Sanjeevi, Graphics and Media Business Manager, Infosams Technology & Media, Chennai and Mr.V.Guru Vignesh , Senior HR Executive, HCL Technologies, Madurai.
  • COVID – 19 Awareness campaign on 16.3.2020 for our Department Students was given and tissues were issued in lieu.

Faculty Contribution:

Mrs.R.Vanitha, Mrs.T.Thivya Sindhu, Mrs.T.C.Sujitha, and Dr.S.Shaik Parveen have presented and published paper in International Conference held in Parvathy’s Arts and Science College, Dindigul on 22.08.2019.

Dr. M.Karthika , Head of the Department, Computer Science Department delivered Guest Lecture at EMG Yadhava Women’s College in Madurai on 29.07.2019

Students Participation:

  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (SAC 2019) at Viruudhunagar Hindu Nadars’ Senthil kumara Nadar College, Viruudhunagar on 14.08.2019 and won prizes.
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (FS’tival 19) at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai on 30.08.2019
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (CYBORGFEST 2019) at KLN College of Information Technology Madurai on 30.08.2019 and won prizes.
  • Computer Science students were attended one day International Seminar on Artificial Intelligence at Madurai Kamaraj University Madurai on 23.09.2019
  • Computer Science students were attended one day International workshop on “ Data Science and Intelligent System ” at Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikkanel on 18.12.2019
  • Computer Science students were attended one day National Seminar on “ Data Science and Big Data ” at Arul Anandar College Madurai on 10th January 2020
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (NOVA2020) at Arul Anandar College Madurai on 31.01.2020 and won prizes.
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (VALIENT 2020) at AAA college of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi on 31.01.2020 and won prizes.
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet ( FLAGO 2K20) at Annai Fatima College of Arts and Science, Thirumangalam on 07.02.2020 and won over all shield.
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (BNEC-FEST 20) at Bharat Niketan Engineering College, Aundipatty on 19.02.2020 and won prizes.
  • Computer Science students were participated in the Intercollegiate Meet (CONBLAZE T20) at Parvathy’s Arts and Science College, Dindigul on 19.02.2020 and won prizes.

Parent teachers meet:

Every year parent and teachers meet is conducted after internal examination of each semester to review the performance of the students. General studies, psychological behavior, curricular and co-curricular activities, sports and cultural activities, competitions, information about field visit to places of historical and archaeological importance, etc. are discussed with parents.
