• Every academic year, the final UG, PG, Alumni Student and staff members will donate a book individually to the department Library
  
• In Bharathiyar birthday function jointly organized by Central  Institute of classical tamil and Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, a speech competition was held for the students in which the winning students were awarded first prize of 5,000 rupees, second prize of 3,000 rupees, third prize of 2,000 rupees and fourth prize of 1000 rupees
