The Department of Microbiology was established in the year 2019 and offers a three-year B. Sc., Degree Program in Microbiology, with an objective to produce eminent Microbiologists for the society. In addition to the conscientiously crafted syllabi that is designed, keeping in mind, the technological advances, burning epidemic issues and the demand by the society and science community, the syllabi include papers like Sericulture, Vermitechnology, Entrepreneurial Microbiology, etc., to cater to the needs of the society, in addition to the Microbiology-proper topics like General Microbiology, Microbial Genetics, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Agricultural Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, etc.. The Department has a total of 5 well-experienced staff – of which three are Doctoral Degree holders. Adding toppings to the cream, the Department provides Certificate course, In-plant training and short-term project, to acquirea strong practical training in the field.
